Today you will learn about the communist past in Albania and the atrocities of the regime! We will start our tour by meeting in center of Tirana where we will visit the Historical Museum, learning about the history of Albania from ancient times to modern days. Bunk Art 2, next on our tour, is the best museum to experience the real conditions of these dark times for Albania. We will go through the underground tunnel of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. We will continue walking in the center and explain the history of the main buildings of Tirana, passing by the Pyramid, Main Boulevard, and Blloku area. Here will pay a special stop to Hoxha’s house, where he lived during his life as head of the Central Committee. We will explain details and stories of the time that we have experienced ourselves. Our day will end at a famous bar in Tirana, furnished as in the communist era and trying raki, our strong traditional liquor.

Communist traces in Tirana is a thematic tour related to the Communist Regime of Albania, which has ruled for more than 4 decades. The tour is an easy drive and walks around Tirana, with many visits to historical and cultural sites. The weather most of the time is very nice and comfortable, only during July and August you should bring your hat, sunscreen, and water. The overall day lasts about 6 hours. Transportation is made with the airconditioned comfortable vehicles.

Our tour will start in the center of Tirana where we will visit the Historical Museum, learning about the history of Albania since ancient times. The museum has many original artifacts found all around Albania and a special section for communist times.
We will continue our tour by visiting Bunk Art 2, the best museum to experience the real conditions and how much we suffered during these long years.
We will continue walking in the center and explain the history of the main buildings of Tirana, passing by the Main Square, Pyramid, Main Boulevard, and Blloku, the area where we will pass by Hoxha’s house. We will go back to the times before the ’90s and explain details and stories that we have experienced ourselves.
Our day will end at a famous bar in Tirana, furnished as in the communist era and trying raki, our strong traditional liquor. The place is full of furniture and objects of communist times, giving you a real sense of that time.
